Hope offers sign language interpreting at the 11:00 am Sunday service.
Jocelyn Wallace offers her skills in American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting. Here she answers some questions:
Q: What does sign language interpreting add to a service?
A: ASL interpreting at Hope worship services is just one way to support equal access. The next challenge we have in this ministry is to pray for those who have the spiritual gift of hospitality so that more people, hearing or deaf, will be invited to enter Hope’s doors and hear the Good News.
Q: At what worship services will ASL interpreting be available?
A: ASL interpreting will be available each week at the Sunday 11:00 am worship service; however, any deaf or hard of hearing individual may contact the church office at 222-1520 or email gail.smith@hopewdm.org to request interpreting services for a different worship time.
Q: Is there a need for others who have ASL interpreting skills to help? If so, would they contact you?
You bet. Contact me at jocelynw@hickorytech.net
