Worship Ministry Opportunities
The vision of the Worship Ministry of Hope is to help worshipers experience the truth and love of Jesus Christ in a way that is both welcoming and life changing. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, we strive to accomplish this through diverse worship and music styles and excellence in our various ministries of music, drama, design, and art.
Choir Opportunities
Joining one of Hope's choral ensembles is an easy way to plug in right away! We have choirs available for all age groups utilizing various musical styles, and all participate in the worship services on a regular basis.
| PRAISE! Adult Mixed Choir |
All adults are invited to become a member of Hope’s adult mixed choir. PRAISE! is directed by Mike Horstmann and leads worship songs and special music for the celebration services. Praise! meets every Wednesday from 6:00 – 7:15pm in the large rehearsal room.

| Adoration Adult Mixed Choir |
| All interested adults are invited to join Hope’s Adoration Choir led by Karen Strempke.This choir accompanies the liturgy and hymns and performs special numbers for the traditional Chapel services on Sundays. The Adoration Choir rehearses on Wednesday evenings in Large Rehearsal Room from 7:30-8:45 pm. |
Children’s Choirs for Grades Kindergarten- 2nd Grade & Grade 3-5

| Kids in kindergarten to grade 2 are invited to make a joyful noise with the Hallelujah Hearts choir led by Kathy Lashier. Grades 3-5 are invited to join the choir directed by Michelle Craven. Rehearsals run throughout the school year each Wednesday from 5:15-5:45 pm in Rm 104. |
Instrumental Opportunities
Opportunities abound for instrumentalists at Hope! No matter what you play, we have a spot that you can fill. Check out these groups for more information.
| Hope Orchestra |
| The Hope Orchestra is open to high school students and adults. Younger individuals are included determined by instrumentation needs and audition. The orchestra plays regularly during the traditional Chapel service and during seasonal worship. In addition, the orchestra also accompanies the PRAISE! Choir for the Christmas cantata. Contact Bobbi Garringer at 225-7216. Rehearsals are Monday evenings in the Chapel from 6:30-7:30 pm. |
| Ring of Hope Bell Choir |
| Directed by Mary Kimpston, this group brings an added dimension to Hope’s diverse musical styles. The bell choir plays monthly in the traditional Chapel services and for seasonal events during Christmas and Easter. Additional ringers are always welcome to join the fun every Monday evening in Rehearsal Room 1 from 6:30-8:00 pm. |
| Omega Horns |
| The Omega Horns perform on the fourth Sunday of every month in the traditional Chapel services. They also perform the second, fourth, and fifth Sundays of every month with Hope's worship bands for contemporary worship. Additional horn players - trumpet, trombone, French horn, baritone, tuba or sax (soprano, alto, tenor or baritone) - are always welcome to join the ranks. High school students are encouraged to join. The Omega Horns rehearse on Mondays in the Chapel from 7:30-8:30 pm. For more information, contact Curt at friendlydr@mchsi.com. |
Sign Language Interpreting
Hope offers sign language interpreting at the 11:00 am Sunday service.
