At Hope, we believe in Christian marriage between a man and a woman. We want each couple to have a beautiful wedding and a lifetime of love for each other.

We want to help you plan a wedding that is consistent with the Christian understanding of marriage. Christian marriage begins with a wedding ceremony with Christ at the center. A wedding is a worship service that celebrates the love of God and our love for each other.

This Web site is an overview to help you plan a wedding at Hope. All procedures are established so that you can have a beautiful wedding, to be fair to all those involved, and to honor God’s house. If something is not addressed in these guidelines, please ask the Life Ministries Coordinator for assistance.

If you are interested in having a wedding at Hope or in having someone from Hope officiate at your wedding, please contact Darcy Howell , Life Ministry Coordinator, to discuss your specific request. Darcy can also be reached at 515.222.1520 ext.188.

We ask that all couples being married at Hope or by Hope officiants take a pre-marriage class. We offer a class twice each year. To register for the next pre-marriage class, please click here.

Because of the many requests, Hope is able to schedule weddings only for those who are members or who have made Hope their church home through regular attendance at worship services or other ministry events.
