Susan Anderson - Adult Ministry Discipleship Coordinator
Susan joined Hope in 1998 and began taking discipleship classes. "These classes helped me get deeper into the Bible, and see the themes that ran through the whole Bible. It’s exciting to see people reading the Bible, asking questions, and discussing how God’s word applies today."
When her nephew turned three, Susan came to Vacation Bible School with him. "I think I had more fun that he did." Now both nephews come to West Des Moines from Wisconsin for a week to attend VBS. "It is an awesome time to see the kids enthusiastically learning more about Jesus and singing praises to God."
Susan kept hearing comments about the Alpha program at Hope, and decided to try it out. "What a life-changing class! It is amazing to see God work through the talks and small group discussions to build personal relationships with us, his children."
Susan now oversees the Alpha Course at Hope, and walks alongside people from churches interested in starting Alpha in their congregations. She also coordinates Hope’s discipleship classes and events. "I am excited to see where God is leading Hope in this coming year and in the future." |
