Jennifer has been a fixture in Children’s Ministry for the last three years, joyfully serving and helping in many different capacities a volunteer. So it was a natural next step for her to join the Children’s Ministry staff when the position of WOW/Special Events Coordinator opened up; so natural, in fact, she barely had to train for the job! Because of her experience, Jennifer understands the value of volunteering, and loves to see how God uses the opportunity of serving children to bless and grow adults. She also loves seeing how he works through the children during Vacation Bible School and is excited to see that same joyful VBS spirit supercharge WOW, Hope’s Wednesday night programming for children in grades K-4.
Jennifer is married to Rob and is mom to son Beckett who is entering kindergarten in the fall. With the exception of her time spent at Drake University, Jennifer has always lived in West Des Moines. Between Drake and Hope she worked for twenty years with her dad in his dental practice. Now she follows him (Larry Lang) on staff at Hope! According to Jennifer, the best part about continuing to work at the same place as her dad, besides having daily access to his fatherly love and encouragement, is the free lunches he buys her. (Who says there’s no such thing as a free lunch?) |
