Souper Bowl Food Drive
Help us stock the shelves of every food pantry in our community!
Here’s the game plan:
- Bring your nonperishable food items (you can tackle the suggested grocery list for the most needed items) to Hope during the weekend of the Big Game, or with you when you come to Hope beginning Feb. 5!
- Financial donations are also accepted in-person via check (noting “Souper Bowl Food Drive” in the memo field) or online here!
Please remember to check expiration dates on your donations as expired items cannot be donated to pantries. For safety reasons, please, no glass items.
Sorting & Distributing
Hundreds of volunteers will be needed to help sort, package and deliver donations. Shifts will happen Monday, Feb. 12 – Thursday, Feb. 14 at various times. Interested in volunteering? Sign up here!
Souper Bowl Food Drive Hy-Vee Partnership
Purchase your items in store and bring to the designated Hope truck in the Hy-Vee Westlakes parking lot (1725 Jordan Creek Pkwy, West Des Moines) on the following dates:
- Friday, Feb. 10: 4:00–7:00 pm
- Saturday, Feb. 11: 10:00 am–4:00 pm
Suggested Grocery List
- Baby formula, infant cereal and diapers (sz 3-7)
- Crackers
- Baking products
- Canned meat
- Canned fruit
- Peanut Butter
- Paper products / toiletries
- Pull top ready to eat canned foods
- Rice (white or brown)
- Quinoa
- Black beans
- Canned or ready to eat meals (ravioli, stews, hash)
- Single serve foods, snacks, granola bars, oatmeal
- Hot / Cold Cereals (healthy grain/low sugar preferred)
- Dry pasta
- Pasta sauces (no GLASS jars, please)
- Pasta sides
- Ramen Noodles
- Pancake Mix and syrup
- Microwaveable meals (non-frozen variety)
- Soups
- Juice (no GLASS jars, please)
- Pudding Cups / Fruit cups
- Plastic cutlery, plates, napkins
- Condiments
