Are you looking for a fun, short-term mission? Gather your kids, friends, small group or ministry team and head to Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp for a weekend of service and fellowship.
Mission Riverside is a family-friendly opportunity designed to accommodate busy summer schedules. Spend a Saturday serving together and connecting with others from Hope. Missionaries of all ages help build cabins, assist with repair projects, and spruce up the campgrounds. Riverside Lutheran Bible Camp is near Story City, Iowa - about an hour from Des Moines.

What is the daily schedule?
6:30 am - 7:00 am Continental breakfast in the Retreat Center
7:30 am - noon Check-in and begin mission work at Hope Village
9:45 am Break
Noon - 1:00 pm Devotions and lunch in the Retreat Center
1:00 - 5:00 pm Work projects
3:00 pm Break
5:00 pm Depart for home
What are the remaining work projects?
All of the cabins are complete through the insulation stage. The remaining projects include: hanging wall and ceiling sheeting; installing trim boards; interior and exterior painting, cleaning windows, bathrooms, floors; hanging curtains; installing screens and door knobs; interior and exterior caulking; assembling and installing bunk beds; exterior mulching and general clean up.
What is the cost of the trip?
Cost for single day: $5/person/day (kids age 6 and under are free). Please send or drop off payment at Hope prior to the day you plan to serve. If you have not paid when you arrive at Riverside, your registration fee will be collected at that time. Registration fees pay for your food and beverages. Timely payment is very much appreciated. If you are unable to pay due to financial circumstances, simply make a note on your registration form.
