What is Mission Ghana?
Mission Ghana is a chance to serve God and the people of Central West Africa while experiencing a culture and people completely different than that of the United States.
 
Where do we go and what do we do?
Missionaries travel to Ho, Ghana and work with our partner Pastor Sam Dunya and GlobeServe in several community service projects. Projects include medical clinics and general health education, water purification and farming.

Who can go?
Anyone with a heart for Jesus. Children ages 12 or older if accompanied by a parent/guardian.
 
Where do we stay?
Missionaries stay at a western-style hotel with restaurant, pool, private baths and air-conditioning.
 
What travel documents do I need?
A current U.S. passport is required as well as a Visa into Ghana. Click here for more information on acquiring a passport. Information on acquiring a Visa will be provided by the Missions staff after registration. 

What immunizations do I need?
Yellow fever vaccination is required for entry into Ghana. Recommended vaccinations are Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, typhoid, meningitis, preventative medication for malaria, booster as needed for tetanus-diphtheria, measles and a one-time dose of polio vaccine for adults. What is the cost?
Cost is estimated to be $2,500-$2,900, depending on airfare. This cost includes airfare, hotel, all breakfasts at the hotel, ground transportation, luggage fees and bottled water during the trip.  Vaccinations are an additional cost.

How do I sign up?
 
You can register online for the Feb/March 2012 trip and the August 2012 trip or you can print a registration form by clicking here and turning the form into the front office. A $150.00 non-refundable deposit is due upon registration. Registration forms can also be found at the Mission Center. Background checks will be conducted by Hope on all mission trip applicants ages 18 and older. This is to ensure the safety and protection of all mission team members and the people we serve. If you’ve had a background check run by Hope in the last three years, a new one will not be needed.
