What is Mission Custer State Park?
This trip offers a time to serve in the State Park through improvement projects and fellowship with other families! You or your family will have time to enjoy the beauty of God’s creation in the Black Hills and help preserve a wonderful park for years to come.
Custer State Park is a wildlife reserve in the Black Hills of southwestern South Dakota. The park is home to a famous herd of 1,300 free-roaming bison.
How do we get to Custer State Park?
Members of the mission team travel in their own vehicles. The team will meet at the park for dinner on Saturday, June 9.
What skills are required?
Improvement projects will include painting, landscaping and trail cleanup around the park. There is enough work for anyone, regardless of skill level (including children).
What is the cost?
Cost varies based on family/cabin size. Cabin cost is approximately $1,000 per family. Additional trip costs are estimated at: $220/adults and $175/children 12 and younger.
Trip costs include food, one night special group event and insurance. Additional costs may apply
should families choose to participate in other activities such as trail rides, mountain biking and boating. A state park entrance pass ($15) will be an additional cost (all vehicles entering the park are required to have this). Team members plan their own transportation to and from South Dakota.
