What is a Life Group?
It's an OPPORTUNITY to grow deeper in your relationship with Christ while sharing your experience with others.

Life Groups often gather together to focus on these areas:

  • Discover God's word.
    • Bible Studies, Sermon Discussion guides, Group DVD series, etc.
  • Connect with individuals on a deeper level.
    • Get to know your Life Group members!
      • Discover the joy, concern, struggles & triumphs in their life!
      • Take prayer requests; share your spiritual gifts & heart's desire.
  • Serve those in need. Be the hands & feet of God.
    • Volunteer at HOPE, donate food & clothing, feed the hungry, etc.
  • Share the Gospel!
    • Reach out to the world around us and share the everlasting love of Jesus Christ! It's good news!

Who can be in a Life Group?
Anyone and everyone.

Where do Life Groups meet?
Life Groups meet off campus. Members of your group can offer to host at their home or you can meet together in a public area. (Library, Coffee Shop, Park, etc.) Ultimately, your group is encouraged to pray about this decision. Remember, meeting somewhere is always better than meeting nowhere.

How many people should be in a Life Group?
Once again, we encourage you to pray about this decision. We recommend that a Life Group has 7-12 members in it. Why? If you grow too large, some members can begin to feel 'alone in a crowd' or even think it's not important if they don't participate in conversations or show up to group meetings. On the flip side: If your Life Group is too small, you may find it difficult to challenge one another or to reach out to new members. However, we believe in & trust in what Jesus says, "Where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them."

How often do Life Groups meet? & How long are Life Groups supposed to stay together?
Our lives can get extremely busy, but the quality of our relationships matter! Praying about this decision is important! Prioritize what's most important to you and your group. The more often your Life Group is able to meet, the more comfortable you will become in sharing your faith with others. However, please know that the quality of a Life Group cannot always be measured in numbers. (i.e. how often you meet, or how long you stay together) The true measure of a quality Life Group is found in the fruits of the spirit. (LOVE, JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GOODNESS, FAITHFULNESS, GENTLENESS & SELF CONTROL) If these fruits are being produced, keep meeting! If you feel your Life Group isn't producing as much fruit as you had once hoped; please pray about, and discuss as a group the areas you feel need more attention. (Study, Connect, Serve, Share)

How many groups should I be in?
Please pray about this decision. If God is calling you to be in more than one Life Group, we trust that He will give you peace in your decision. If you feel that being in more than one group is too much of a commitment, don't do it. Remember, being in a Life Group is something you "GET-to-DO" not something you've "GOT-to-DO".

How do I join a Life Group?
Simple. Do you want to START a new Life Group? JOIN an existing Life Group? Or ADD a new member to your current Life Group?
