Jesus tells us to feed the hungry
“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me...And the King will say, ‘I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’ Matthew 25:34-40
Do you know?

Kids Against Hunger response
Kids Against Hunger is an international food relief campaign with a mission to eradicate world hunger and prevent any more children from starving to death.
Their solution is a revolutionary food packet that's been developed by some of the
world's leading food scientists at Cargill, Pillsbury, General Mills and Archer Daniels Midland. This one packet provides six nutritionally-complete servings to feed the starving children around the world as well as the hungry here at home, and all for the low cost of 25 cents per serving (includes ingredients, packaging and shipping).
Lutheran Church of Hope's response
During the 40 Days of Community, LCOH packaged more than 1.5 million meals for people in Haiti. These meals were distributed through Kids Against Hunger in cooperation with the local satellite: Kids Against Hunger of Des Moines.
How you can get involved
Every Thursday, beginning April 3rd, Hope's Kids Against Hunger trailer will be open for food packaging. Grab your family, friends, small group or ministry team and spend 90 minutes working together to feed the hungry! Hours will be limited to 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm so sign up early!
