We're Better Together!

Activity Groups

We were made to be in community. Regardless of your interests or your stage in life, being a part of a community is important to the way God designed us.  We truly are better when we are connected together.

If you are interested in connecting with others to explore shared interests and hobbies, offer support or gather socially in your neighborhood, you are in the right place! At Hope, we call these Activity Groups, and they can range from basketball leagues to knitting groups; Celiac disease support to cruising in classic cars; gardening and music to making meals for new parents!

If you’re interested in gathering for the sake of social connection and fellowship with others at Hope, the Activities Groups are the place to start!

If you are interested in starting a new Activity Group, please submit your idea to Gail Smith at Gail.Smith@hopewdm.org. Once approved, the group description will be posted on the Web site!

Check back often, as we will be adding groups as they come in!

Small Groups
WAIT! I hear a lot about Small Groups at Hope ...
what’s the difference between an Activity Group and a Small Group?

Great question! Activity Groups posted to the Digital Connection Board are different than a Small Group. While Activity Groups are social groups focused on a common activity, Small Groups are a community of 10-12 focusing on four key components:

          Prayer
          Fellowship
          Study
          Service

The purpose of a small group at Hope is to gather together as a small community, study and grow, pray for each other and the church and serve wherever they feel God leads them.
