Emilie VanDis - Children’s Ministry 5th & 6th Grade Coordinator
Emilie grew up in the Des Moines area, graduating from Valley High School.  Afterwards, she graduated from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD in 2003.  Emilie was married in August of 2008 and loves being a wife! In her free time, she can be found reading, catching up with friends, playing with nieces/nephews, and testing out new-found recipes. Emilie also plays the violin and has participated in Hope’s Christmas Cantata the past few years. Emilie has a huge passion to see her fifth and sixth graders connect with God and grow and mature in their faith. She is constantly thinking of creative, fun and relevant ways to reach them during both weekend and Wednesday evening programming. She encourages her students to build relationships with high school mentors through the Girls 4 God and Face 2 Face programs. Emilie is all about relating with the kids and having fun with them (even becoming a human ice cream sundae) while opening their hearts to the Lord and contributing to their spiritual training.
