How do we get to Tohlakai?
Members of the mission team travel in their own vehicles. There will be an overnight stay on the road each way.
What skills are required?
While we have some need for carpentry and construction skills, there is enough work for anyone, regardless of skill level. Planned projects for 2008 include repairs for homes of Navajo people and miscellaneous repairs at the church. VBS is conducted during the family trips.
What is the cost?
Cost is $170, which includes meals in Tohlakai (Sunday through Friday), lodging at Rehoboth Christian School, t-shirt and insurance. Team members plan their own transportation to and from Gallup. Roundtrip travel by vehicle is estimated at $375, plus one night hotel stay (approximately $75) and meals while en route.
