Building Hope 3D

And upon this rock I will build my church...
July 10, 2006
More than 600 people were on hand Sunday for the Building Hope 3D groundbreaking ceremony, ushering in an exciting new chapter in Hope's story. Pastor Mike Housholder opened in prayer and shared several Bible verses including Matthew 16:13-19 that spoke to the importance of building a solid foundation. Pastor Mike then asked the people to break ground in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Chris Gunnare, Hope’s Operations Director took a moment to talk about the upcoming construction project and let everyone know that Hope is asking Larson and Larson, the construction company who will be working on this project, for a very aggressive timeline. With a projected move-in date of Thanksgiving 2007, construction work will begin within the next few days.
Kevin Nordmeyer, Hope member and the architect, spoke about the excitement that is building at Hope but to also remember with construction projects, some “discomfort” may be felt. For example: within the next few weeks, Cafe Hope, the bookstore, the upstairs kitchen, and the prayer chapel will all be demolished to make way for the addition. The Ashworth Road entrance will become a "construction only" entrance, and the parking lot outside the gym entrance and the prayer chapel entrance will be a construction zone. Please be patient and remember how awesome God is in helping Hope follow the mission of reaching out to the world around us and sharing the everlasting love of Jesus Christ.
The Hope leadership team would like to thank everyone who has made this critical addition to Hope's facilities possible, including the building and finance committees, the Building Hope 3D leadership team and the hundreds of volunteers who conducted home visits last fall, the celebration committee, and most importantly, the congregation for their support through prayer and financial pledges.
