What is a Halls Angel?
A Halls Angel volunteer is committed to creating a safe and peaceful environment enabling Christian growth to take place. They are a presence for maintaining order among students and leaders.
What are the qualities of a Halls Angel volunteer?
- Dedicated—Please commit to no less than once a month. Even though you’re not their group leader, having a consistent face among them creates the most positive experience. In addition, even if the kids are good, they still need you! There are times when it may feel as if you’re not needed, but you are!
- A Relational Person—Being a Halls Angel not only means correcting & redirecting, but also addressing students respectfully yet with force. Be firm and direct with them with love.
“Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” John 13:34-35
What are the expectations?
*Wednesday nights: Sept. 15
*6:00-7:15 pm= First Shift Students begin to gather in The Bridge around 6:30 pm so the main duty of first shift angels is to be in The Bridge during that time and also to make sure they’re heading into the Worship Center by 7:00 pm. Ensure that Café Hope does not serve students after 6:45 pm.
*7:15-8:30 pm= Second Shift Arrive in the WorshipCenter and observe small groups for disruptions or students that may need to be sent to the bleachers for poor participation/attitude. During small group time, monitor the hallways so that you know where each group is located and that students are not wandering.
