SMALL GROUP LEADERS:  "IMPORTANT UPDATES"  2009: YEAR OF THE BIBLE

The following information is important for your small group as we move into 2009: Year of the Bible and outlines how to access your small group's new "electronic bulletin board."  This tool is designed to help you!  It is a communication tool in many ways; for your small group and between the group and the Connections Ministry team.    
 
If the Connections Team needs to communicate to all small groups in a rapid manner.  We can communicate with you through this new system.  

That being said, we are asking you to get onto the new site and confirm your group information before 2009: Year of the Bible begins.  This will allow us to begin communicating with you immediately. 
 
The steps are:
1. Print off these instructions so you have them handy
 
2. Click here and save it in your favorites file or in your history, as you will be using it to access your small group information in the future.
 
3. You will be directed to a page where you can either log in, if you have registered already, or register.  (If you have not registered before, please register using the email address that receives the weekly email from Hope, then follow directions on the screen from there. Please note: you will receive a password in an email to confirm your registration. Copy and paste it instead of trying to type it in correctly, this has caused a few errors to occur and gets frustrating for many.)
 
4. Once on your personal page look on the right hand side under "My Groups." You will see your last name as the name of your group.
 
5. Click on your name and it will come up with your group list and show you as leader. If this info is correct and you are the leader of the group, email connections@hopewdm.org. We will do the final set-up for you so you can manage and edit your group info, add or delete members to your group, and be able to email everyone in your group easily.
 
6. Once we set up the page for you to manage, you will receive an email with detailed information to guide you through additional features. 
 
It looks complicated, but it's really very simple.

Next steps
After you have updated your bulletin board, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the site.  As mentioned, we will be using this system to communicate with and update you and the rest of Hope's small groups.
