You know Christmas is near when the Adopt-a-Family envelopes appear!
Lutheran Church of Hope and Bidwell Riverside
are partnering for the seventh year to share some of the joys
of Christmas with families around the Des Moines area.
The Christmas Sharing Program at Bidwell Riverside,
a Christ-centered nonprofit organization, serves over 600 families each year.
Hope plans to adopt over 400 families.
What does it mean to adopt a family?
You, your family or small group will provide gifts of toys and clothing,
as well as a holiday meal, and deliver these items to the family you select.
Envelopes will include the family’s information, including contact numbers
and the gender and age of each family member, and a specific, suggested gift list.
Envelopes will be available beginning Nov. 14 & 15.
You can find the envelopes on the glass windows near the Chapel (overlooking the garden)
and near the Mission Center.
