Mark Hoffschneider, 50+ Ministry Coordinator
Mark and his wife Mila became members of Hope in 2003. Mark says “it only took one visit to know that Hope was going to be their church home. Everyone at Hope seems like part of the family, unlike anything we have ever previously experienced.”
Mark joined the Hope staff in mid 2007. When he retired in 2006 from a 30+ year business sector career, he says the plan was to “really retire”. But, God had a different plan. After serving on a Hope task force, Mark became aware of his passion for ministry to those in the second half of their life. “It is so exciting to watch how God will engage and grow us when we surrender and follow Him. God’s promise in Jeremiah 29:11 is that His plans are for “good, and will include plans to give you both hope and a future”. That promise includes replacing retirement with reFIREment!”
Mark and Mila live on a small acreage in Johnston. They were married in 1975 and have two adult children…Josh who lives in Scottsdale and Leah who lives in Omaha.
